Hearing Tests
A full audiological hearing assessment at our Hawick clinic. You'll leave with a clear picture of your hearing — no jargon, no pressure, just honest answers.
What's involved in a hearing test?
01
Case history
We start with a conversation about your hearing concerns, medical history, and lifestyle. This helps us understand what matters most to you.
02
Otoscopy
A visual inspection of your ear canals and eardrums using an otoscope — checking for wax, infection, or any structural concerns.
03
Pure tone audiometry
You listen to a series of tones through headphones and indicate when you can hear them. This maps your hearing thresholds across different frequencies.
04
Results and discussion
Your audiogram is explained clearly — what it shows, what it means for you, and what options are available. No pressure, no hard sell.
