You will receive an ear health check at every appointment at our clinics, this is to ensure that every time we see your ears, we are confident that they are happy and healthy.
An ear health check is what we call the standard expected level of care. Any qualified provider should be assessing the health of your ears before and after any procedures. An ear health check involves assessing the outer ear and your mastoid bone (bone just behind your ear), your ear canals and your ear drum. You will also be asked a series of questions to ensure we have the most up to date records of your general health and ear health.
Our ear health checks are in-depth and if we were to ever find anything concerning during one, we will explain our findings to you and give you advice as required. On rarer occasions we may have to refer you to another specialist for example your GP for further examination.
I am a person who believes that trust is earned not expected. I will always make sure to be my best self for you. Professionally speaking, I am a registered hearing aid audiologist with the HCPC and hold a certificate in ear wax removal using microsuction, irrigation and manual removal.
Our ear health checks are free of charge, and available to anyone aged 18+. We feel that providing our ear health checks for free we are allowing the community to get a head start on their hearing health.
*If you have booked an ear wax removal appointment, and there is no wax to remove you will be charged a £20 consultation fee.
Thank you for asking, I want to make sure the appointment is as easy as possible for you and performed in a professional manner. In order for me to make this possible the appointment will look like this.
